Bio

Carles Oviedo is a Spanish documentary photographer currently based in Amsterdam, Netherlands. His interests include social conflicts, class inequality, local culture, and social contrasts among individuals.

His work has been documented over the past few years mainly in Spain, but also have taken him to other places in Europe, Latin America or Asia.

Besides a degree in Advertising and Public Relations, he holds a master's degree in Creative Copywriting and a superior course in documentary photography by RUIDO Photo through Escuela Fuga in Barcelona.

My work focuses on capturing a moment in time with people and their surroundings, whether it's portraiture, lifestyle imagery, or just the perfect light.

Always experimenting with new techniques, I'm equally comfortable with analog and digital technologies, and use both according to the needs of the project.
